3 Days ScheduleDay 1: Nukus → Muynak → Aralkum Desert → Aral Sea
09:00 - Meet your driver and depart from Nukus towards Muynak, a former port city of the Aral Sea. 12:00 - Arrive in Muynak. Visit the Ship Cemetery and Aral Sea Museum to learn about the region’s environmental changes. 13:30 - Lunch at a cozy guesthouse with traditional Karakalpak dishes. 14:30 - Continue across the dried seabed of the Aral Sea, now the Aralkum Desert. Stop for photos at scenic canyon viewpoints. 18:00 - Walk along the Aral Sea shoreline, surrounded by vast open horizons and silence. 19:00 - Dinner at the yurt camp and overnight stay in comfortable yurts under the starry steppe sky.
Day 2: Aral Sea → Kurgancha Fortress → Aktumsyk Cape
06:00 - Early wake-up and sunrise over the Aral Sea, enjoying the serene morning light and silence. 07:30–08:30 - Breakfast at the yurt camp. 08:30 - Visit Kurgancha Fortress, an ancient caravanserai linked to the Great Silk Road trade routes. 09:30 - Stop at a nomadic cemetery. Descend along a trail through canyons and natural rock formations shaped by wind and time. 13:00 - Lunch at the yurt camp. 14:00 - Continue to Aktumsyk Cape (approx. 15 km). Walking tour through scenic terrain with high canyons, unusual landscapes, a mysterious cave, and historic stone slabs. Relax by the sea with an opportunity to swim (seasonal). Return to the yurt camp. 19:00 - Traditional-style dinner. Evening stargazing through a telescope under the open sky, enjoying seclusion, authenticity, and the unique desert atmosphere.
Day 3: Komsomolsk → Sudochie Lake → Barsakelmes → Mizdakhkan Necropolis → Nukus
06:00 - Early wake-up and sunrise, enjoying the soft morning hues over the Aral Sea. 08:00 - Breakfast at the yurt camp, then departure to the village of Komsomolsk (Kubla Ustyurt). 09:30 S-top in a rural area to see camels and horses, walk along an abandoned runway, and taste shubat (fermented camel milk). 11:00 - Arrival at Sudochie Lake, a former part of the Aral Sea and an important habitat for migratory birds, including pink flamingos. 12:30 - Visit Barsakelmes salt flat, a vast salt landscape left from the ancient Tethys Ocean, with a photo session among the striking salt formations. 14:30 - Lunch at a roadside café. 16:30 - Excursion to Mizdakhkan Necropolis, featuring mausoleums and ancient settlements from different eras along the Great Silk Road. 18:30 - Return to Nukus, marking the end of the tour.
